The session manager is a Web-based application that provides all the tools necessary to create and manage your online library of session plan documents.
It can be accessed from any computer with an Internet connection and a Web browser, and is an integral part of a comprehensive package of online applications included with the Personal Edition of hooptactix.
The user interface is multi-language and very easy to use. You can create the folder structures of your libraries however you want to store your documents. And as a result, session plan retrieval and editing is super simple.
The session manager has its own built in customizable session builder, that allows you to create session plan documents on the go, in both portrait and landscape orientations. You can even create multi-page documents in mixed orientations as well.
Building Sessions
The session builder is a powerful document authoring tool in its own right, with its own editing user interface. It has all the features a common word processor has so you can create content exactly how you want. But most of all, it is seamlessly integrated into the session manager and super simple to use.
You can save the themes to your library and use them over and over. You can even set any theme as your default theme, so when you create a new session plan the template is themed already in the style you want.
The session builder seamlessly integrates with all your hooptactix applications and uses your image and video libraries to import images and videos.
The session builder uses a template system which you have an option of 12 templates to choose from. Once you load the template into the builder, you then style and add content how you like.
The possibilities are endless.
Managing Session Plans
When you save your session plans, you save them to your personal library or if you are using the academy edition, you can save them to your academy shared folders for your colleagues to use.
You can copy session plans to any location in your library, edit, clone, move, and use the built in interactive viewer to view your plans on the fly.
When you share your plans, you share them as a very small web link.
When your viewers open the link, they open an interactive version of your session plan. It has its own inbuilt gallery, so images can be expanded and viewed easily, videos can be played either on the document or in theatre mode.
And when you update your documents, the web link automatically displays the updated version. So you don't need to keep exporting and sharing your plans.
