Academy Data Drive
When you create your Academy environment during sign up, you set the " Club Folder Name " to whatever you want.
Normally this will be something that has your organization or club name abbreviated so your members can easily identify it inside their applications.
It is a secure data drive, that only your academy users have access to.
For example,
If you set your academy shared folder name as "HT-ACADEMY", then the new data drive for the academy is called "HT-ACADEMY".
When the secure drive is created, 4 shared top level folders are also created which your members use within their applications.
These are:
Members home drives
Members home drives, are effectively folders, that use the members name and are mapped to personal home drives in the applications.
An additional top level folder is created, which is not shared. This is called "HT-ACADEMY All Users".
This folder is used to store your members’ home drives when they are created.
As an example, if you create a new user called "Joe Bloggs", then a sub folder called "Joe Bloggs" is created inside "HT-ACADEMY All Users".
When "Joe Bloggs" launches any applications, they will see their home folder as "HT-ACADEMY HomeDrive". Which is actually "HT-ACADEMY:/All users/Joe Bloggs"
And if you create a user called "Jenny Sanders", then she will see "HT-ACADEMY HomeDrive", which is actually "HT-ACADEMY:/All users/Jenny Sanders"
The only person that can see all folders in "ACADEMY All Users", is the academy director.
This is so the director can access everyone’s folders and files, if they leave the organization or want to copy anything a user has saved to other academy shared folders.
Academy shares used in applications.
The academy director or users with the admin role set, can create folder structures on each of the 4 academy shares.
The list below, shows what academy shared folders each application can use, if required.
