In this tutorial, you will learn how to replace the slide background image without losing any layers you already have on the canvas.
Why replace a slide background?
When you load a canvas background image, the session planner automatically clears all the slide layers by default.
Well, this is when you will use the "replace canvas image" feature.This is normal behavior when starting a new project, but what happens if you are in the middle of creating a project? And have layers already in place on the canvas.
Because replacing a canvas background, keeps all you layers intact and only changes the background itself.
Replacing the slide background
1. Click "edit" on the top menu
2. And click "Replace Slide Canvas" to open the canvas manager
3. Now navigate to the background you want setting and click "Load Canvas"
4. The slide background will now be replaced with the one you set.
Notice that all the layers you had on your canvas are still intact.
That's it. You can now change your background image without losing your layers.
You can repeat this process for any slide, as many times as you need to.
